www.1-800-save-a-pet.com

Check it out!  Especially if you're looking to adopt a dog.  Similar to PetFinder, but it allows your to search a bit more specifically.  AND you can set it up to email you when new dogs are entered with your search criteria!

I've really been slacking off when it comes to getting stuff done for Puppy Mill Protest.  Tho, I've even been slacking off getting stuff done for me!

TONIGHT--yes TONIGHT--I'm going to get to work, get my ass in gear, and get stuff done!  Here's what I need to do:

- Complete new brochure design, content and info.
- Proofread and send out for proofing.
- Edit photos from demonstration #1 and post on the Puppy Mill Protest website.
- Write up July Newsletter (woo for 11 subscribers!).
- Design a couple more new CafePress products... mainly POSTERS!!!
- Look at calendar and pick a date for the next demonstration.

See, it's really not that much to do... I just need to get over hating sitting in front of my compy (which is what I do all day, like now), and DO IT!  Maybe I'll see if I can borrow Greg's laptop for some of the more boring stuff, like editing photos and writing brochure copy.

Nothing else is new.  I've got 42 members on my forum and hardly anyone posts... lots of dead members.  Really sucks, 'cause there's only so much one person can do.  But soon I'll get things together and the workd will get out better.  I may even buy some stuff from CafePress and put together a Stop Puppy Mills kit and sell it on eBay.  And I've got to make some more bracelets, anklets and necklaces to sell too.

Um, if I'm reading my web stats right I've had almost 3000 hits since September.  Not bad.  83 so far this month...

And I really don't think there's anything else going on in PMP-land.  I'll post the date(s) I pick for the next demonstration(s) here, my forum and maybe one or two other places, so keep an eye out...

Later,
Rachel

Only TWO MORE DAYS until the demonstration!

So far I've got the following done:

- 2 posters
- list of IL shelters/rescues
- info sheet about PMP and mills and what can be done to stop them
- Called BGPD - no permit necessary, just have to stay on the sidewalk

I still need to do the following:

- 2 more posters
- copy list of shelters/rescues
- decorate donation container
- refine, print and copy info sheet
- create business cards to hand out and print them
- create list of apparel/accessory items for sale to hand out
- buy folders for handing stuff out

Got a lot to do tonight, Friday and Saturday but I have a feeling it will go well.  As of right now, if everyone who says they will be there shows up, there will be between 6 and 10 people there!  How exciting!!

Ok... off to work on stuff
Later,
Rach
